The direct reading Ferrograph is composed of the host computer and the trend analysis software. Its principle is to deposit the wear particles in the deposition tube in order. By using the photoelectric conversion principle, the DL and DS values which characterize the concentration of large particles (more than 5 μ m) and small particles (1-2 μ M) in oil samples are measured.
