Using photoelectric conversion principle, the Dl and Ds values representing the concentration of large abrasive particles (greater than 5 micron) and small abrasive particles (1-2 micron) in oil samples are measured.

Using the principle of photoelectric conversion, the Dl and Ds values representing the concentration of large abrasive particles (greater than 5-micro; m) and small abrasive particles (1-2-micro; m) in the oil sample are measured, and the ferrographic parameter curves are drawn to judge the process and trend of machine wear change. It is a quantitative instrument for wear trend analysis.
