The direct reading ferrography is to deposit the abrasive particles in the sedimentary tube in order. By using the principle of photoelectric conversion, the Dl and Ds values of the large abrasive particles (greater than 5µ m) and the concentration of small particles (1 to 2µ m) in the oil samples are measured, and the curves of the ferrographic parameters are drawn to determine the process and trend of the change of the wear of the machine. It is a quantitative instrument for the analysis of wear trend.
